What Our Patients Are Saying

Mental Health Services Available in Carlsbad

Our Carlsbad team includes therapists and psychiatric providers with decades of experience. We offer comprehensive mental health care through in-person and virtual sessions, including therapy, psychiatry, and advanced treatments like Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato, which are only offered in-person at our Poinsettia office.

Therapy

Therapy offers a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Our Carlsbad clinicians use a variety of therapeutic approaches to support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health concerns. Therapy is available through in-person sessions at our Poinsettia office or virtually from the comfort of your own space.

Psychiatry

Seeking support means finding the right balance, and for some, that may include medication. Your Headlight clinician will collaborate with you to identify a prescription that suits you, working with you throughout your journey to ensure you remain on the correct course of treatment.

Interventional Psychiatry

Interventional psychiatry uses advanced, targeted procedures to stimulate the brain’s neural pathways, and is specifically designed for individuals with treatment-resistant depression. This includes TMS and Spravato, which our Carlsbad location is equipped to prescribe and monitor when appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I access the office? Is there parking?

Our office is located at 6183 Paseo Del Norte, Suite 140, within the Paseo Summit medical campus. Ample ground-level parking is available just steps from the office entrance, including designated accessible parking spaces and ADA-compliant access.

How quickly can I get an appointment in Carlsbad?

Appointment availability varies based on factors such as your insurance plan, the type of care you’re seeking, and whether you prefer in-person or virtual sessions. Often, virtual appointments may have earlier availability than in-person visits. In general, many clients are able to schedule their first appointment within three weeks of reaching out to our team.

What’s the difference between in-person vs virtual care?

Choosing between in-person and virtual care is a personal decision. Research has shown that virtual care can be just as effective as in-person for many mental health conditions. Virtual sessions also offer added flexibility, such as before/after work and weekend appointments and the ability to receive care from the comfort of your own space. In-person visits provide the benefit of face-to-face connection, and specialized treatments like TMS and Spravato require in-person care.

You can always start with virtual care and switch to in-person sessions (or vice versa) at any time to see which approach works better for you.
