Benjamin Ehrenfeld, LCSW
Licensed in: Oregon, Texas
Often, people seek out therapy in the hopes to decrease suffering and increase connection to who/what they care about. My life’s work is to be skillful at supporting the people who consult me in achieving their unique version of these goals.
About Me
I incorporate four main pillars in my practice. First, my foundational education in Social Work (MSW, Salem State, 2016) and extensive training in Narrative Therapy enable me to focus on the social factors impacting each person, remain accountable to those factors, and help client’s re-author their stories. Second, I utilize tools from normative psychology and psychiatry traditions when they suit a client’s needs (such as ACT, CBT-I, and Trauma-Informed practices). Third, I ethically draw from my own identities and experiences, including 8 years in medical settings (6 in a Multiple Sclerosis clinic), my Jewish identity and observant practice, training in Music Therapy, and my personal experience as someone who stutters. Finally, I maintain a rigorous commitment to learning from clients, mentees, peers, and mentors. I look forward to our journey together!
