Mood disorders, maternal health challenges, and adjustment disorders each bring their own set of struggles—but they often share one common need: the desire to be fully seen and understood. Too frequently, mental health concerns are treated in isolation, neglecting how deeply they’re connected to a person’s overall well-being. Having worked in healthcare since 2007, beginning as a registered nurse, I have witnessed first hand how deeply mental and physical health are connected. This passion led me to advance my training, earning my Master of Science in Nursing degree and becoming a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2019, followed by my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in 2023. I further specialized through a fellowship in Adult Psychiatry at UC San Diego, which has deepened my expertise in caring for the needs of patients across the lifespan.
